Parmalee Introduces New Songs to Fans during Stage It Show

Last night, Parmalee held their second of six monthly Stage It shows.  This live streaming event gave the band the opportunity to introduce fans to some new songs and ask for their feedback.

Entitled "Help Parmalee Pick Songs for the New Album," the Stage It show had the band play ten songs in all, some brand new and some familiar to the fans.  They also threw in an encore of three of their more well-known songs, including their current Top 40 hit "Musta Had a Good Time."

The songs they played last night were:

Already Calling You Mine
Barrel of a Shot Glass
Think You Oughtta Know
Day Drinkin'
Last Mile Home
Me & You
Empty Streets
Another Day Gone
Take Y'all Home
Musta Had a Good Time

The reaction in the chat room was overwhelmingly positive.  Some of the highlights were hearing Josh on the piano, the impeccable three-party harmonies, and the sight of Matt cracking up at the end of MHGT!

There was no question in the minds of the fans that each of the songs was amazing and had to be included on the album.  And there were a number of other fan favorites that were requested including Carolina and September.  The band will face quite a challenge narrowing the list down when it comes time to record...which we hear should be soon!

Fans were asked to Tweet their opinions after the show with the hashtag #parmaleefavorites.  If you heard the show and haven't yet shared your opinion, there's still time.  Tweet @parmalee #parmaleefavorites and let them know what you want to be on their album!

You can buy the single "Musta Had a Good Time" today HERE and then look out for the album next year!

Parmalee is essentially a family band comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas (lead vocals/ guitar and drums, respectively), cousin Barry Knox (bass) and life-long best friend Josh McSwain (guitar).
Influenced by such musical heavyweights as the Allman Brothers, Travis Tritt and Bob Seger, the band’s name is derived from the small town of Parmele, NC (population 262), which is home to a gas station, two blinking yellow lights and a small tin-roofed barn dubbed Studio B where the band practiced on every given evening.
Cutting their teeth on the Southeastern touring circuit and known for their fun-loving live shows, the members of Parmalee endured a tumultuous journey to Nashville which included dangerous pit stops, catastrophic weather and a near-fatal robbery that would have torn most bands apart. Instead, Parmalee’s deep Country roots, intense motivation, and band-of-brothers sense of dedication brought the tight-knit crew even closer together.

Now signed to Stoney Creek Records – whose roster includes Grammy-nominees and 2012 ACM Vocal Duo of the Year Thompson Square as well as ACM & CMA nominee Randy Houser – Parmalee’s brand of music has met the country format at time when Jason Aldean and Eric Church have helped to bring country rock to the forefront of popular country music.
