VOTE for Parmalee for ACM New Artist of the Year

This year, Parmalee is one of the eight artists vying for the ACM New Artist of the Year Award.  Fan voting for this year's ACM New Artist of the Year finalists began at Noon ET on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014.  You can vote for PARMALEE at VoteACM.com and GACtv.com/ACM. You can also download the ACM App to your smart phone and vote that way.

Parmalee had a stellar 2013 following up the release of their first single, the popular "Musta Had a Good Time," with their first number one single, "Carolina," and their much-praised Stoney Creek Records debut "Feels Like Carolina."  They have taken country music by storm and are being heralded as the best new band to burst onto the scene in many years.

The band toured tirelessly from coast-to-coast in 2013, spreading their unique combination of country-rock with songs ranging from the kick-back, party song "Day Drinkin'" to the beautifullly introspective ballad "Another Day Gone."  The single "Carolina" earned the band their first Gold Record and was #1 on the Country Airplay Charts for two weeks in a row and was on the Billboard's The 615 Best Country Singles of the Year.  "Feels Like Carolina" has earned rave reviews from the New York Times, USA Today, People, GAC, Newsday and more!

The first round of voting runs from January 21st through 3pm ET on February 4th as the eight semi-finalists vie for the final three spots.  After that, the three finalists will be named and the last round of voting for the New Artist of the Year will run from March 24th until April 6th.  The ACM Awards show will air on CBS on Sunday Aprill 6th and the winner will be announced live.

Please vote EVERY DAY for Parmalee at VoteACM.com and GACtv.com/ACM and ask your friends/family to vote as well!

New Single "Close Your Eyes" Coming Out February 3rd!

Earlier this week, Matt Thomas announced that the next single off of Parmalee's critically-acclaimed Stoney Creek Records' debut "Feels Like Carolina" would be...drum roll please..."Close Your Eyes."

The soulful, sexy ballad was penned by Trent Tomlinson, Shane Minor and Adam Craig.  It has been a standout track on a very strong album. Just check out what some country music reviewers have been saying about it:

The catchy country of "Close Your Eyes" - Newsday
The guys next single just released to radio is “Close Your Eyes” This song captivated me from the get go!! Matt does a fantastic job of portraying the emotion of the song! Very subtle and sexy – might be my favorite Parmalee song!! The song is well written as it sets the setting for a the “perfect” romantic night ~  Start requesting it – I certainly see another #1 coming with this one, and I bet it climbs there pretty quickly. - America's Country
“Close Your Eyes” is ready for country radio as well as the country charts. - Country Music Rocks
"Close Your Eyes" is a well-crafted and soothing ballad. - Digital Journal
The steady, locked in beat of the Luke Bryan-tinged love song “Close Your Eyes.” - GAC
Close Your Eyes” is one of my favorite songs on the record. It has that easy to slip into groove similar to a Florida Georgia Line song or Cole Swindell’s “Chillin’ It.”  “Hey baby ‘fore the night gets any older/Lean your pretty self over here a little closer/I need to hold ya/I wanna show ya/what you don’t wanna miss.”  Definitely sounds like a radio hit. - Got Country Online
There’s even a soothing ballad with “Close Your Eyes.” - Nashville CountryClub
Feels Like Carolina has a lot of great moments and early on it is the swaying soft-rock of Close Your Eyes for This.’-  LittleRebellion Music
A solid love song. Nice lyrics, mellow melodies, and those vocals that I like make this song a standout. Score: 9 - PlaybackSTL

Before the song's official release on February 3, it was a Buzz Cut on radio station BUZ'N 102.9, won KJUG 106.7's Country Star Wars, won the KRTY "Which Song Do You Like Best" poll, and earned a huge response on the KAWO's New at Nine!  And it's already becoming a favorite on SiriusXM The Highway!

Got Country Online has the first stand-alone review of the single:

Parmalee is back with a new single titled “Close Your Eyes.” This single definitely showcases the vocals of the band as a whole, it proves how great they sound together and just how great they are at bringing forth emotion through very catchy romantic and sexy lyrics! It’s definitely one you will find yourself singing along to as well.  I’m pretty positive that Parmalee just released another hit! It’s worth checking out!

The Daily Country raved about it:
When I heard that "Close Your Eyes" was going to be the next single, I kinda jumped for joy because even though the album is chock full of hits, "Close Your Eyes" is a personal favorite. The song was written by Trent Tomlinson, Shane Minor and Adam Craig (who fronts a band you need to check out: Adam Craig Band).

"Close Your Eyes" a mid-tempo love song that hooks you from the six note drum beat introduction. The lyrics paint the picture of a perfect summer moonlight-and anticipation-filled night when you are with someone special. The melody and Matt's vocals are simply spot on perfect: romantic and yearning, in a sweet, non-salacious way.

And then there are these flawless lines: "Just when you thought you've really seen it all/Well it turns out you don't have to see it all." Can you say swoon? Feels like....another #1.

Digital Journal reviewer Markos Papadatos had this to say about their new song:

The song "Close Your Eyes" is infectious with stunning instrumentation and Matt Thomas soars on lead vocals and his band-mates deliver on harmonies, as always. It has a Luke Bryan ("Drunk on You") meets Blake Shelton ("Sure Be Cool If You Did") vibe to it. This is the quintessential tune that country girls would love to have this song sung to them. I have been a fan of Parmalee's from the very beginning and have yet to hear anything from them that I do not absolutely love. This song garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
