Recapping Parmalee's Carolina Coast-2-Coast Tour

Starting just after midnight on Friday, January 25th, Matt, Josh, Barry and Scott began a journey that took them over 3,500 miles to play at three different venues before the calendar signaled the start of a new day.  This was the Carolina Coast-to-Coast tour, which saw Parmalee visit the states mentioned in their new single "Carolina." Beginning with a midnight show at Deep South The Bar in North Carolina, the band moved up the east coast to play at the SiriusXM studios in New York Friday morning, then crossed to the west coast for a nighttime show in California.

Fans were invited to follow along via Twitter, on the parmalee.com website, and live streaming on The Highway.  Accompanying the band in their travels were Storme Warren, from The Highway and GAC, Country Weekly, and well as cameramen recording the day-long festivities.

Here, in pictures and videos, is a recap of the day:

Parmalee on Country Music Rock's New Artists to Watch 2013 List

With the end of one year and the start of a new one come articles and lists looking back and looking forward.  In whichever direction you choose, things are looking great for Parmalee.  As 2012 wrapped up, they had the #11 song on Sirius/XM The Highway's Hot 59 of 2012 List and that song, their Top 40 debut "Musta Had A Good Time," was the #27 song on the Roughstock fan-voted poll of the best singles of 2012.  The Country Network called MHGT the party anthem of the year and it lived up to that reputation, being voted one of the Top 10 Country Dance Club hits for 2012!  Radio station Q106 listed Parmalee as one of the Top 10 Newcomers and called MHGT one of the Top 10 Drinking Songs of 2012!

Parmalee was on Roughstock's year-end article highlighting those artists they "think are worthy of your time to pay attention to in that following year."  The "13 for 13: Ones to Watch in 2013" list included artists who are expected to hit it big in 2013.  As that website said, "Parmalee's First Top 40 single "Musta Had A Good Time" announced their arrival. Look for "Carolina" to make them stars."

Today, Country Music Rocks put out their list of "New Artists to Watch 2013" and Parmalee was right there!  Calling the band "one of the best kept secrets of 2012," the article highlighted the upcoming release "Carolina" which they predicted "will make for a great fit on the airwaves as well as on the country charts."  As the article said, Parmalee has an exciting year ahead of them.  And it all starts with the release of "Carolina" on 1/22/13.

Parmalee's debut single was also voted by the fans as the #9 song of 2012 in the Country Music Junkies poll of the top 25 songs of the year, which you can check out here.

Parmalee's Next Single - Carolina

The wait is almost over.  Parmalee's next single, "Carolina," will be available on Tuesday, 1/22/13, for
download.  You can place the song on your Amazon.com wish list today!  It should also be available for download on iTunes the same day.

The song, a follow-up to their rollicking debut hit "Musta Had a Good Time," has been played acoustically and  plugged in at venues around the country to huge positive response. With its romantic lyrics, soaring harmonies and wistful melody, "Carolina" has been a fan favorite and is the perfect choice for their next single.  This past December, in discussing Parmalee's status as one of the artists to watch in 2013, Roughstock.com said: "Look for "Carolina" to make them stars."

Carolina will be released to radio 2/4/13.

Enjoy an acoustic version performed for some lucky radio listeners in Indiana, last September.
