Parmalee to Make Their Grand Ole Opry Debut

This Friday night, Matt Thomas, Barry Knox, Josh McSwain and Scott Thomas, the country-rock foursome known as Parmalee, will set foot for their first time on the fabled circle of the Grand Ole Opry. Though first announced onstage by Matt during the North Carolina stop of their current Country Gone Wild Tour, the official announcement was not made until today.

According to their label, Stoney Creek Records:
Parmalee is set to make its debut on the legendary Grand Ole Opry, The Show That Made Country Music Famous, this Friday night, March 1st at The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, TN.

Parmalee will perform on the renowned stage with a bill that includes Opry members Blake Shelton, Josh Turner, Steve Wariner, Montgomery Gentry and more at 7 p.m. that evening. Tickets to the show are available at Opry.com and 615-871-OPRY.

Hailing from North Carolina, Parmalee has been influenced by many of the musical heavyweights who have graced the Opry stage throughout the years. Now, it is finally the band’s turn to cross a Grand Ole Opry debut off its bucket list.
“We are completely blown away!” said Matt Thomas, “What an honor to be invited into the ‘Circle’. This is definitely a lifetime achievement for all us.”
“My first thought when I heard we were playing the Grand Ole Opry was, ‘My family is gonna be so proud!’” said Barry Knox.
Tickets are still available to see the band's Opry debut, click here to purchase. If you cannot make the show in person, you can listen live on WSM here beginning at 7:00 pm CST.

Check Out the New Lyric Video for Carolina

Parmalee just released the lyric video for their new single "Carolina."

In its first week, Carolina had the second most radio station adds, behind only Kenny Chesney!  Some of the stations spinning it the most the first week are WJVC in Long Island, WSOC in Charlotte, KRTY in San Jose, KNIX in Phoenix and WZZK in Birmingham.

Jim Asker of the industry website All Access raved about the new song in his review: "This one is just starting to make its trek up the charts, for the boys from Parmalee, North Carolina. Hooky, and bright, and full of tight little harmonies, this one has 'hit' written all over it. They deserve it too—the band has been working hard together for over 10-years now. That part shows too, as they come off well-seasoned and soulful. In its own right, that's pretty refreshing these days."

On the heels of their first two singles, Parmalee has been hailed as one of Country Weekly’s “Ones To Watch 2013 in this week’s edition of the magazine, on stands now. View the online version HERE
