It's been an amazing week for Parmalee. Last Tuesday their Stoney Creek debut album "Feels Like Carolina" was released to much critical acclaim. At the same time, their second single off the album - "Carolina" - landed atop the Mediabase Country Airplay chart. This week, "Carolina" remains the number one song on that chart and adds a #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart as well. As if that weren't enough, the single is also the #2 most popular Country song in the country this week on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. And to cap it off, "Carolina" has been certified GOLD with over 500,000 units sold. Read all about it here.

Chuck Dauphin of Billboard's The 615 listed "Carolina" as one of the top ten country songs of 2013:
"One of the best songs by a duo or group this year. The lyrics are very much there, but with harmony this good, they could be singing the Plumbing section of the Yellow Pages, and almost strike the same effect. I have a feeling 2014 is going to be huge for these guys."
The band even got a shout out from North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory for their achievements!
So what's next for the band? A well-deserved, if short, holiday break, and then the release of their next single, "Close Your Eyes" on February 4th!
